For more than three decades, The Atlanta Civic Center has played host to some of the world's most highly anticipated productions. In 2001, the Atlanta Civic Center was renamed as a lasting tribute to one of Atlanta's most beloved philanthropists, Boisfeuillet Jones. |
| Past Performances |
The Atlanta Civic Center boasts the largest performance stage in the Southeast, making it the venue of choice for major productions and exclusive special events. In 1996, we earned the privilege of serving as the official venue for the 1996 Olympic Games' Cultural Olympiad. Our extraordinary and highly diverse productions have included celebrated blockbuster Broadway shows such as Riverdance, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, The Wizard of Oz and Show Boat. We have also welcomed the young and the young at heart by offering the most popular productions for children such as Barney's Big Surprise, Sesame Street Live, Scooby Doo Stagefright-Live on Stage and Radio Disney's World Tour. We are delighted to accommodate great musical performers and comedians, and recent performers include Prince, Melissa Etheridge, The Black Crowes, Sarah Brightman and the late Ray Charles. Our comedy shows have included Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam, HBO's Chris Rock, Cedric the Entertainer and Steve Harvey. The Civic Center has also hosted an array of Gospel Plays and Concerts, including the Stellar Gospel Music Awards.

Meeting Facilities |
In addition to our 4,600 seat theatre, we offer 5,800 square feet of meeting space to accommodate corporate meetings and private receptions. We have served as the meeting facility of choice for corporate giants such as General Electric, Home Depot, Fox Television, IBM, General Motors, Walt Disney Special Events Group, and Honda. |
Civic & Community Involvement |
| Local Civic and Government organizations also count on us to accommodate special events. Our venue is the site of high school graduations for many Atlanta Public Schools and local colleges. We are also proud to provide performance space for school dance recitals and artistic presentations. Additionally, The Atlanta Civic Center is the venue chosen by Chamber Theatre and the National Theatre of the Performing Arts for Educational Outreach Productions for Adolescents. |
