The ever popular balladeer himself, Beres Hammond is set to entrance and mesmerize concert lovers. Just the sound of his soulful voice has made adoring audiences swoon from New York to Japan. He has both performed and produced some of Jamaica’s biggest lover’s rock hits, so his musical credentials stand tall. *Rental event produced by Jammins Entertainment ABOUT THE ARTIST BERES HAMMOND Beres Hammond is a living legend and prolific singer, songwriter and producer with a reggae music career spanning more than 30 years. Beres Hammond has poured his smoky-sweet voice-an instrument of subtlety and power reminiscent of an Otis Redding, Luther Vandross or a Teddy Pendergrass-over every kind of music track, from the funked-up reggae jams of the '70s, to the lush instrumentation of soul sounds, as well as the spare digital beat of his 1985 dancehall breakthrough "What One Dance Can Do." Unlike any other reggae artist, Beres Hammond has blazed a trail of modern classics for a variety of producers, from the strugglers' anthem "Putting Up Resistance" to lovers' laments like “Rock Away”, "Come Back Home" and "Double Trouble". INNER CIRCLE Inner Circle is a Jamaican reggae group. The group was formed in 1968 by the brothers Ian and Roger Lewis in Jamaica. With Jacob Miller as their front-man and lead singer the band was one of the most popular in Jamaica during the 70's, and one of few reggae bands that performed live. They are responsible for the 1987 song "Bad Boys," which serves as the theme song for Fox Network's long-running television program COPS. Other hits include “Sweat”, “Reggae Dance” and “Black Roses”. Today, members of the group run Circle House, one of the most popular and respected recording studios in Miami. CULTURE featuring KENYATTA HILL Kenyatta Hill’s career began the day his father’s ended. Joseph Hill, singer and songwriter for the legendary Jamaican vocal trio CULTURE, collapsed and died while on a 2006 tour of Europe. To the amazement of the promoters, fans and critics alike, Kenyatta stepped onstage and delivered electrifying performances time and time again – nineteen shows in total until the tour was complete. This was unheard of in any genre of music at anytime. Kenyatta gave of himself as totally as his father had for so many years – that the two seemed to become one, the eerily similar voices and the vibes igniting the critics and yielding a new reggae mantra “magic, not tragic!” Indeed, Culture featuring Kenyatta Hill continues to share the wisdoms of Joseph’s conscious reggae overlaid with Kenyatta’s own lively and youthful musical vision. |
